Britpop enthusiasts rejoice: The members of Pulp have confirmed that the group will reunite next year.
This marks the first time since 1996 that the original lineup of Jarvis Cocker, Mark Webber, Candida Doyle, Russell Senior, Steve Mackey and Nick Bands have played together. So far only two dates have been announced (appearances at the U.K. Wireless Festival on July 3 and at the Primavera Sound Festival on May 27), but more are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. “Pulp have decided to get together and play some concerts next summer,” the band writes in a statement. “The shows will involve all the original members of the band and they will be playing songs from all periods of their career. (Yes, that means they’ll be playing your favourites). In the meantime, ask yourself this: ‘Do You Remember The First Time?’ Thank you for your attention.”
