U2 to Release EP on Black Friday

U2 will release a limited-edition vinyl EP on Black Friday (Nov. 26). The three-track release will be available exclusively in independent record stores as part of Record Store Day festivities.

Wide Awake in Europe will feature live performances of “Mercy,” “Moment of Surrender,” and “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight.”

”We all wanted to get behind Record Store Day,” bassist Adam Clayton said in a statement. “My local record shop introduced me to music I didn’t know and I might never have discovered."

While the majority of the 5,000 copies pressed will be sold in the U.S., fans in the U.K. and Ireland also have a chance to get their hands on the EP, as a few hundred copies will reportedly be shipped to indie record stores there, as well.
