Arcade Fire, Florence and the Machine, Janelle Monae Score Grammy Nominations

December 2, 2010  |  9:48am

Yesterday the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences revealed the nominees for the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards.

As usual, the lion’s share of the nods went to radio-friendly pop artists and aging rock stars, but a little band called Arcade Fire managed to snag an Album of the Year nomination this year. Janelle Monae, Cee Lo Green and Mumford & Sons (all of whom released some of the Best Albums of 2010) also scored nominations. The Grammys will air on Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS. Check out the major categories below, and for a full list of nominees, click here.
