We already know that James Cameron is a big fan of 3D movies, so we’re not too surprised by the news that he’s producing a 3D Cirque du Soleil flick.
Deadline reports that the movie will feature high-flying performances from the circus troupe as well as a narrative story where the lead character is transported into a magical world. Director Andrew Adamson is currently in New Zealand shooting those narrative sequences, while Cameron is capturing performances from various Cirque shows in Las Vegas.
No word on when the movie will be released, but filming is one-third complete.
