New Mountain Goats Album Gets Name, Label, Release Date

Update: According to a press release, the new Mountain Goats album, which is the band’s Merge Records debut, will be called All Eternals Deck. It drops March 29.

Today, John Darnielle of The Mountain Goats took to his account to announce a new album (and work in a pretty sweet Halloween reference).

“ok heads up our new album is done. 4 sessions/4 studios, FL to MA. thirteen songs escaped alive Laurie Strode-style,” he tweeted.

Details are scarce right now, but Darnielle also tweeted a link to the video below, which features the principals from the album’s Florida session introducing themselves:
