He may be bowing out of The Office at the end of this season, but Steve Carell’s relationship with NBC will live on.
The network has picked up The Post-Graduate Project, which Carell will write and produce. The show is based on his early career as a mail carrier in Littleton, Mass., and it centers around a small-town post office and the “quirky but tight-knit group of local twentysomethings” who frequent it.
It’s unclear whether Carell will also act in the half-hour, single camera comedy. Either way, expect a bunch of “post-Office post office” puns in the near future.
