Alison Krauss Announces New Album

Alison Krauss has won a Grammy for every year that she has been an active musician. You heard that right. In bluegrass superstar’s 26-year career, Krauss has amassed 26 Grammy’s—the third most of anyone in Grammy history. Don’t expect that trend to stop anytime soon, as Krauss and Union Station have announced plans to release their forthcoming record Paper Airplane April 12 on Rounder Records.

Paper Airplane will be the bluegrass legend’s 14th album, her first with Union Station since 2004’s Lonely Runs Both Ways and her first release of any kind since collaborating with Robert Plant on Raising Sand. Between her two past efforts, Krauss has racked up nine Grammy Awards—adding to her collection of 26 total. We wouldn’t be surprised if a couple more awards arrive in 2012.

Paper Airplane tracklist:
1. Paper Airplane
2. Dustbowl Children
3. Lie Awake
4. Lay My Burden Down
5. My Love Follows You Where You Go
6. Dimming Of The Day
7. On The Outside Looking In
8. Miles To Go
9. Sinking Stone
10. Bonita and Bill Butler
11. Opening Farewell
