Best Coast and Wavves Ready Split 7"

After breaking out during a busy 2010, lo-fi rockers Best Coast and Wavves have wasted no time gearing up for another busy year in 2011. A few weeks back, Best Coast frontwoman Bethany Cosentino announced plans for the joint Summer is Forever tour with her boyfriend Nathan Williams’ band Wavves. But the collaborative summer celebrations do not stop there; the two bands will be putting out a split single in conjunction with the trek.

Mexican Summer will release Summer Is Forever as a limited edition 7" featuring one song from each group. The record will also be available as a part of an iTunes exclusive sampler—one that features title tracks from both band’s 2010 albums, Crazy For You and King of the Beach. The iTunes sampler drops on Jan. 11.
