Bond 23 Gets Release Date

The twenty-third installment in the James Bond film series, tentatively titled Bond 23, is slated for a Nov. 9, 2012 release, according to deadline.com.

Daniel Craig will again return as the famous British double agent; Sam Mendes will direct and Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan will handle the script. The story will most likely pick up where Quantum of Solace ended.

The large delay in the announcement comes in part because of MGM’s large financial problems, including a failed auction of the studio, bankruptcy, and letting Spyglass take over studio filmmaking. Apparently things are looking up, though, since the movie’s release was pushed up compared to previous expectations.
