Colin Farrell to Star in Total Recall Remake

Since Total Recall is widely considered a great sci-fi film, it’s perhaps not too surprising that some folks are remaking it with Colin Farrell as the star. While much of the remake’s inner workings aren’t known, producer Neal Moritz recently spoke to Collider, announcing the Farrell news and that the crew will start shooting on May 15 in Toronto. Oh, and that they’re "not gonna do Recall in 3D… it would be too much.” Phew!

Regarding the scope of the world, Moritz says it’s “a real world, a real future world, where the cities have just gotten so overcrowded that the cities are just built up, up, up, up.”

While some fans might still be apprehensive about another remake, Moritz isn’t nearly as nervous. "[As] a fan of movies, more than anything, it’s a movie that I’m just dying to see.”
