As 3D films continues to dominate the box office, Disney is planning to bring the pretty-much-now-inescapable format to home entertainment as well. The reigning kings of the third dimension have announced that they plan to release 15 titles in the format on Blu-Ray over the course of the year.
Aside from the obvious and most recent Disney flicks, Tron: Legacy and Tangled, the studio also plans to to re-release classics such as The Lion King and Beauty and The Beast in 3D, according to Yahoo! News. Disney also plans to release the recent 3D version of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Less-than-classic films such as Meet The Robinsons, Chicken Little, Bolt and G-Force will get the new treatment as well.
However, don’t fret if you’re not a fan of the new 3D craze. Each title will also be released with a 2D version of the film to boot.
