Rob Tapert, producer of The Evil Dead, says that he and writer-director Sam Raimi are considering a reboot to the cult classic. “It’s possible; we’re looking at a script this month.” Tapert told the Detroit Free Press.
The duo is excited about the possibility of audiences experiencing The Evil Dead in theaters, as most of its cult following has only seen the movie and its sequels, Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness, on the small screen.
The Evil Dead trilogy launched not only Raimi’s career, who went on to direct the massively successful Spiderman trilogy, but also big-chinned B-movie hero Bruce Campbell. No word if Campbell will be attached to the Dead reboot if it comes to light, but good, bad, there’s only one guy we want to see with the gun.
