The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival announced its 2011 lineup today. Headliners include contemporary artists like Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, Wilco, The Strokes and John Legend & The Roots as well as a host of music legends such as Allen Toussaint, Robert Plant, Willie Nelson, Bon Jovi and John Mellencamp. Kid Rock is also playing for some reason.
Jazz Fest features 12 stages showcasing roots music of all styles. The 2011 festival is also set to host the largest celebration of Haitian culture in the U.S. since the tragedy of last year’s earthquake left the country in devastation.
This year’s festival will be held April 29-May 1 and May 5-8. Tickets are now on sale at NoJazzFest.com and through Ticketmaster.
