Myriad Posthumous Jay Reatard Releases Expected This Year
With the one-year anniversary of Jay Reatard’s death death comes a slew of posthumously-released materials associated with the garage rocker. According to Pitchfork, several releases are expected to see the light of day sometime in 2011, including a documentary, a greatest-hits compilation and various reissues from different projects the late musician was involved with.
Also, members of the Jay Reatard Shattered Club will be receiving a whole set of previously promised things. Shattered Club members will get a 7” featuring “You Get No Love” and “I Am Growing”—two songs that Reatard made around the time of his death that will not be made available to the general public. In addition, subscribers should also expect to exclusively receive a live album from Jay Reatard’s performances at the 2008 Golden Plains Festival in Australia along with an accompanying t-shirt.
