Bungie Developing First Person Shooter MMO, Destiny

Bungie, the studio behind the Halo series is developing a massive multiplayer online first person shooter, says a source claiming to have knowledge of the game’s development. The game, currently titled Destiny, is under development with the codename “Tiger,” and will use a new graphics engine developed in house at Bungie.

Very little is known about the project, but it is allegedly sci-fi themed, and has been described as “World of Warcraft in space.” In addition, these claims support a statement made by Bungie creative director Joseph Staten at last year’s Game Developers Conference: “Wouldn’t it be great if we could make a world that was always there for you?”
