Chicken & Egg Pictures Award Grants to Nine Documentaries

Chicken & Egg Pictures, an organization that is both a film fund and a non-profit production company that specializes in supporting women filmmakers, recently awarded nine film projects with grants. These movies are the first to receive grants from the Which Came First Fund. An open call for submissions of narratives regarding environmental issues was held specifically for the fund.

Of the nine documentaries that were awarded grants, Mona Nicoara and Miruna Coca-Cozma’s Our School also received the Liberty Grant. The Liberty Grant is rewarded to a project so that filmmakers are better able to focus on creative elements of the film so they no longer have to split their attention with fundraising efforts.
