Stephen Colbert, Neil Patrick Harris to Star in New York Philharmonic Production of Company

In addition to auctioning off one of his famed portraits for charity, Stephen Colbert is set to star as Harry in a New York Philharmonic production of Company.

The production, set to be staged April 7 to 9 in Avery Fisher Hall, also stars How I Met Your Mother‘s Neil Patrick Harris in the lead role of Bobby, and Martha Plimpton as Colbert’s wife, Sarah. The Stephen Sondheim musical will be directed by Lonny Price and conducted by Paul Gemignani.

Harris recently directed a production of rock-opera Rent which ran at the Hollywood Bowl in August 2010.
