The original Halo: Combat Evolved will be getting the HD treatment come this holiday season. Sources confirm that the game will receive a full overhaul, including new art assets and updated controls.
The remake will support 3D televisions, in addition to 1080p high definition. Details are still unclear about the multiplayer component, but the game will likely include online cooperative play. It is unclear what engine will be powering the update, but it is apparently something different than the engine from the most recent Halo release, Halo: Reach.
The game is expected to be released Nov. 15 on the Xbox 360, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the original title.
