Kevin Costner to Star in Superman Reboot?

Now that the role of Superman has been filled by Henry Cavil, interest has turned to Kevin Costner for a part in the new Superman reboot. It is currently unknown who Costner would portray, but it is reportedly a “key role.”

It seems most likely that Costner would take on the role of Jonathan Kent, the man who, along with his wife, adopted the baby Kryptonian after he crashed into the Kent cornfield. However, if Costner doesn’t end up in the role of Superman’s adopted father, we wouldn’t put it past him to play a baddie.

Superman: The Man of Steel is set for a December 2012 release directed by Zak Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan.
