Mashup Producer Releases Concept EP Based on Sam Rockwell's Moon

Max Tannone, mashup artist behind the Jay-Z/Radiohead Mixtape Jaydiohead, has just released a sci-fi hip-hop concept EP. Selene was inspired by the 2009 Sam Rockwell film, Moon, about man isolated on the moon during a three-year stint for a mining company.

The concept EP combines samples of dialogue from the movie and Clint Mansell’s score with lyrics from Brooklyn rapper Richard Rich about many of the themes expressed in the film, including isolation, loneliness and self-realization.

Download Selene for free from Tannone’s website, or stream the EP below.
