Spider-Man Musical Delayed Yet Again

Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has been riddled with myriad problems and delays. We recently reported that the production, for which U2’s Bono and The Edge have contributed music, was pushed back from its already-delayed Jan. 11 scheduled release to sometime in February. Next, an ending change pushed the date into mid-March, with previews ending Feb 6.

However, recent technical complications have left the final public release hanging in the air—literally. Lead actor Reeve Carney was recently left dangling in midair during the final scene, according to Fox New York.

If these problems weren’t enough, some critics, including the New York Times and the Washington Post have released early reviews, collectively panning the production.

Producer Michael Cohl has responded, striking back in a statement to Entertainment Weekly: “Any of the people who review the show and say it has no redeeming value are just not legitimate reviewers, period. It’s hard to have people that don’t get popular culture reviewing a popular culture event, isn’t it.”

Take that, people who don’t get it!
