President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will be hosting a Motown musical celebration in honor of Black History Month. John Legend, Sheryl Crow and Smokey Robinson are among the artists scheduled to perform at the event on Feb. 24. The concert will be recorded and broadcast on PBS on March 1.

The Motown celebration is not the first musical performance that the Obamas have hosted, but it’s the latest in the musical series “In Performance at the White House.” Other performances have paid tribute to jazz, country, Broadway and other genres. Mrs. Obama often hosts educational art programs for students.
