Watch The Mountain Goats on Letterman

The Mountain Goats took to The Late Show with David Letterman last night to perform a song, “Birth of Serpents,” from their forthcoming LP, All Eternals Deck.

“Any artist who is blasé about being on TV," frontman John Darnielle said on his Twitter, “step aside and give us your space, because to us it is really, really, hurt-our-faces-smiling fun.”

The Mountain Goats will begin touring next month in support of All Eternals Deck, which is due March 29 on Merge.
