"Weird Al" Yankovic has a Book and an Album on the Way
Rolling Stone reports that “Weird Al” Yankovic is “dangerously close” to finishing his 13th studio album and about to release his first children’s book.
The upcoming record will contain five songs from his 2009 release, Internet Leaks, and seven more tracks, including “Polka Face.”
Yankovic’s children’s book, When I Grow Up, published by HarperCollins, tells the tale of a child with an active imagination and strange career goals. The parody musician hopes it will inspire kids to chase their dreams instead of submitting to a narrow career path. “It’s to let them know there’s a whole universe of potential vocations out there,” he tells RS. “And that they don’t need to be locked into anything, they can always change their minds.”
