X-Men: First Class actress January Jones recently told ScreenRant.com that the movie was behind schedule, currently midway through six weeks of re-shoots. Jones, who plays Emma Frost, a mutant telepath with the ability to turn her skin to diamond, stars alongside James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender.
“I think it was unrealistic for them to think they were going to make such a huge movie in whatever we had — two months or something. So of course we went over (schedule)." Jones said. "I think I have a couple more days to shoot We’re almost done. The fact we’ve had to push the wrap date but they haven’t moved the release date is really interesting to me. I guess they must know what they’re doing. I have a lot of faith in Matthew as a director and an editor; I think his movies are great. And I think they’ve been cutting as we’ve been going. We should be fine.”
X-Men: First Class tells the story of a young Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, better known as Professor X and Magneto, and serves as a prequel to the X-Men movie trilogy. The project is being helmed by Kick-Ass and Layer Cake director Matthew Vaughn. Bryan Singer, known for directing the first two (and, frankly, only good) X-Men movies returns as producer after an absence from the two most recent X-Men films, X-3 and Origins: Wolverine.
