Watch Arcade Fire Play A Secret Show in Haiti
Arcade Fire has been very busy lately with a Grammy win, success at the Juno awards, the release of Scenes From the Suburbs and an upcoming headlining world tour. Even with all this, the rockers managed to host a secret show in Haiti.
On March 29, the band performed an impromptu show at Port-au-Prince’s Hotel Oloffson. They played a collection of covers, including Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Who’ll Stop The Rain,” the Rolling Stones’ “The Last Time” and Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun,” along with a few songs from their debut album.
The group has a strong relationship with the country. Singer Régine Chassagne is of Haitian ancestry, and last year the group pledged to raise $1 million for Haitian earthquake relief during their tour.
