Disney has decided not to go ahead with Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski’s sci-fi project. However, the studio is allowing the director to shop the project around to other interested parties. It seems that there were disagreements between Kosinski, who wanted the film to be more edgy, and Disney, who was firm on maintaining a PG-13 rating.
Warner Bros., Fox, Universal and Paramount are all reportedly considering the project. Actor Tom Cruise has expressed much interest in the project as well.
The plot of Horizons revolves around a soldier who meets a mysterious traveler after being assigned to patrol a derelict planet.
