Anyone who’s ever turned on Fox ever knows Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House, Princeton Plainsboro Hospital’s resident smart-ass doctor-savant, one of our greatest TV characters of the past 20 years. But did you know he’s also a musician — and a quite good one at that?
In addition to performing with Band From TV, the awesome charity covers band consisting entirely of television actors, Laurie is releasing a blues album, entitled Let Them Talk, due out May 9, according to NME.
Recorded at the Ocean Way studio in Los Angeles, the album features appearances by Tom Jones, Dr. John and Irma Thomas, and was produced by Joe Henry. Laurie handles lead vocals, piano, and guitar, and is set to appear at the Cheltenham Jazz festival in May.
