The highly-anticipated collaboration between hip-hop giants Jay-Z and Kanye West is almost here, according to a producer on the project, Young Guru. “Right now, I’m really trying to get Jay and Kanye to hurry up and finish this Watch The Throne album because the world needs to hear it,” he told Vibe.com. Guru explained the delay saying, “It just needs little tweaks and things like that. But the core of the album is finished.”
Originally planned as an EP that would drop by the end of 2010, Watch the Throne was expanded into a full-length that Kanye claimed would be released in January. It became obvious that Yeezy spoke too soon when January came and went, and sources close to Kanye and Def Jam Records insisted on a March 1 release date.
At this time, no release date is attached to the project.
