In a recent interview with Play Magazine, BioShock creator Ken Levine made it clear that there are no plans to include motion control options, such as PlayStation Move and Xbox Kinect, in the forthcoming BioShock: Infinite.
“Do you want to play BioShock and it’s like, ‘okay, do you want to harvest or save Little Sister? Waggle left to harvest, waggle right to save!’" Levine said. "You can have Move support on your box but people are going to know you’re cheating them.”
Infinite, the spiritual successor to critical and commercial smash hit BioShock (BioShock 2 was the game’s true sequel) takes the setting from the undersea dystopian metropolis of Rapture to the shambling city-in-the-sky Columbia. The game is set in the same universe as the first two BioShock games, but in a slightly different time period with different characters and the aforementioned change in scenery.
While Levine has no plans for motion control, he says he is “open to the idea of 3D gaming,” but is not sure if Infinite will ultimately support the option.
