Johnny Depp to Appear On Ricky Gervais' Sitcom

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Johnny Depp will appear on an upcoming episode of Ricky Gervais’s BBC2 and HBO sitcom, Life’s Too Short.

The news came from Gervais’ blog, where he also dismissed rumors that Jerry Seinfeld will make an appearance: "The Depp bit is true. The Seinfeld isn’t,” he wrote.

Life’s Too Short is co-written by Gervais’ “longtime creative partner” Stephen Merchant. The show follows Warwick Davis, who takes the role of an egomaniacal dwarf running a talent agency for other dwarves.

Gervais’ blog also confirms that Gervais and Will Arnett will guest-star in the hour-long finale of The Office on May 19.
