Snoop Dogg recently released his latest studio album, Doggumentary, which features a Kanye West collaboration.
Dogg spoke with MTV News about “Eyez Closed,” the track produced and featuring West that also has John Legend on the hook.
The West-coast rapper had been working in the studio on his latest project when he heard another session that piqued his interest.
“I was in the studio with Swizz Beatz and walked down the hallway and heard some beats, and it was Kanye West,” Snoop told MTV News. "He called me into the studio and played me a couple of songs from his album. He was like, ‘I got this song that’s not gonna make the album, but listen to it.’ "
Dogg grabbed the song for his own album. Doggumentary, his eleventh studio record was just released on March 29, but there is already talk of his next project. Supposedly he and Charlie Sheen are working on a track; Sheen recently tweeted pictures of the pair “working hard” in the studio.
