Sufjan Stevens' Seven Swans Gets Reimagined for Charity

Thanks to charitable independent compilation company On Joyful Wings, Sufjan Stevens’ groundbreaking 2004 album Seven Swans will be reimagined by 15 artists. Profits from the album benefit the Susan G. Komen For The Cure breast cancer foundation.

The album is lead by Will Oldham of Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and Palace Music fame, joined by artists such as the Gregory Brothers, Derek Webb, and the David Crowder*Band. Each artist provides their own influence on the music, but each track “maintains the solemn and direct tone created by Stevens.”
