The National Write Songs for Portal 2 Videogame, Win Win Film

TwentyFourBit reports that The National have composed two new songs, one for the videogame Portal 2 and one for the film Win Win starring Paul Giamatti.

Regarding Portal 2, a press release states “The National’s raw and emotive music evokes the same visceral reactions from its listeners that Portal does from its players…It was exciting and a privilege to bring together two exceedingly talented creative teams to create something special.”

Win Win is directed by Thomas McCarthy and stars Paul Giamatti as an attorney who volunteers as a high-school wrestling coach. The National’s composition will be the theme song of the film.
