Arcade Fire, Twitter, Angry Birds Earn Webby Nominations

Arcade Fire, Twitter and the Angry Birds mobile game are just a few to be nominated for this year’s Webby Awards.

Arcade Fire earned the nod for their video “We Used to Wait” and Angry Birds was nominated in the best mobile games category.

Meryl Streep, Jim Carrey, Will Ferrell, Chevy Chase and Bob Dylan are among the celebrities that were nominated.

The winners will be announced May 3 and honored on June 13 at a gala in New York.

There are nearly 70 categories, recognizing best homepage or best use of photography as well as best viral video performance.
