John Travolta and Uma Thurman May Reunite for Oliver Stone's Savages

According to Deadline, Pulp Fiction co-stars John Travolta and Uma Thurman are in talks to join the large cast for Oliver Stone’s upcoming film, Savages.

The two will join an already star-studded cast. Blake Lively (The Town) is confirmed as the character O; Taylor Kitsch will take the role of a former Navy SEAL, Chon; Aaron Johnson will play Ben; Salma Hayek will be a Mexican cartel queen-pin Elena; and Benicio Del Toro will play a cartel enforcer named Lado. Travolta will reportedly play a burned-out DEA agent named Dennis, while Thurman will play Paqu, O’s mom. Additional roles haven’t been cast yet. Shane and Winslow Salerno are handling the script (Shane helped write Armageddon).

Savages is based on Don Winslow’s bestselling novel of the same name. It tells the tale of two best friends and Laguna marijuana growers, Chon and Ben, who live with O. After the Mexican cartel discovers how good their weed is, they try recruiting the three growers, who refuse. Subsequently, the cartel kidnaps O and demands a ransom payment for her return. To pay the ransom, the growers rip off the cartel’s own shipments.
