Josh Brolin in Negotiations to Join Gangster Squad Cast

We recently reported that actors Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling were being courted for the lead roles in Gangster Squad, a 1940s crime drama based on the true story of L.A. gangster Mickey Cohen. Now, Josh Brolin has been added to the already stellar list of stars in consideration for the film.

Brolin is currently in negotiations to portray Gosling’s partner on a special police task force enlisted to bring down Cohen.

At this time none of the actors are confirmed, but we’re already getting excited.
