Modest Mouse and Big Boi Collaborate on New Album

Last week, we shared with you that Modest Mouse debuted a new track as part of the latest episode of the Portland music documentary series Don’t Move Here. While that track gave us some insight into the band’s follow-up to their 2007 album We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank, we’ve also learned that Big Boi will be involved in the making of the new record as well.

Yesterday, Big Boi tweeted: “Been camped out in the Lab with Modest Mouse all week, workin on the new mouse LP, coolest cats ever. Long Live The Funk.” As interesting of a collaboration as this may become, few details have been revealed about the Atlanta rapper’s involvement on the record.
