Watch Ryan Adams Debut New Songs in L.A.

Alt.-country hero Ryan Adams recently released an EP of outtakes from 2008’s Cardinology, and he will be hitting the road in June. However, we’re anxiously awaiting his next full-length record.

Adams, perhaps aware of our anticipation, made a surprise appearance last night, opening for long-time collaborator Emmylou Harris at the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. The singer/songwriter performed three new songs, including a full-length version of “Dirty Rain,” a song we’ve heard clips of in the past. Adams also performed “Blue Hotel” and “Everybody Knows,” as well as his Heartbreaker duet with Harris, “Oh, My Sweet Carolina.”
