Ryan Gosling May Join Johnny Depp in The Lone Ranger

According to The Wrap Ryan Gosling is “in talks” to take the leading role in the Disney adaptation of The Lone Ranger, which will pair him with Johnny Depp, who has already been confirmed as the sidekick Tonto.

Gore Verbinski, director of the original Pirates of the Caribbean, will direct the film with Jerry Bruckheimer producing.

The Lone Ranger is a masked lawman who combats injustice with his sidekick Tonto. The series began as a radio show before becoming a television series.
