Sony Adds Music Unlimited Service to PSP

Sony’s Music Unlimited service will soon be available to PlayStation Portable owners.

On April 14, PSP owners with PlayStation Network IDs will be able to access the Music Unlimited app. The service will give them access to millions of tracks from various major and independent record labels.

Music Unlimited, available on a range of Sony products, launched in the U.S. earlier this year. It offers a two subscription plans, basic and premium. The basic plan, $3.99 per month, gives users access and allows them to sync music playlists on their computers. The premium plan is $9.99 per month, and it gives access to premium channels as well as unlimited playback of the full library, which contains 7 million songs.

PSPs must be running firmware version 6.37 to access the new streaming service.
