Sufjan Stevens, The Decemberists and Andrew Bird are slated to play shows as part of this year’s Celebrate Brooklyn series.
Andrew Bird will open the concert series with a free performance on June 10 as part of the opening night gala. The Decemberists are scheduled to play a benefit show four days later.
Sufjan Stevens will play a benefit concert later in the summer on August 2. Asthmatic Kitty says that Stevens will be getting all folk-a-delic alongside the “ten-piece intergalactic ensemble of Muppets from the Age of Adz tour.”
Past performers include Norah Jones, The National and They Might Be Giants. Tickets are $35 for both shows and are already on sale. Visit the Celebrate Brooklyn website for more information about all of this year’s performances.
