Watch Dave Grohl, Eddie Vedder, Pat Smear Join Mike Watt for 'Big Train'
Three major artists — Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Mike Watt — were in Seattle at the same time for a variety of reasons (Foo touring, Jam recording, Watt touring), and members of the latter two bands joined Watt for an impromptu performance of “Big Train.”
According to 1077 The End, the artists became acquaintances in 1995 “when Vedder and Grohl were just budding rockstars and joined [Watt’s] tour as part of his backing band with the Foo Fighters and Eddie’s side project at the time, Hovercraft opening the shows.”
