Al Pacino has joined the star-studded cast of Gotti: Three Generations, a true-life crime saga involving members of the Gotti family.
John Travolta will play John Gotti Sr., while Pacino will play a crime family underboss, Neil Dellcroce, “an associate and mentor to Gotti Sr.,” writes The Hollywood Reporter.
Barry Levinson, who worked with Pacino on the Emmy award-winning HBO movie You Don’t Know Jack, will direct.
Kelly Preston (Travolta’s wife) will play Gotti Sr.’s wife; Ella Bleu Travolta will play Angel Gotti, daughter of John Sr. and Victoria; Joe Pesci will handle the role of the Gotti Sr.’s associate Angelo Ruggiero; and Linsday Lohan will play Kim Gotti, John Gotti Jr.’s wife.
Gotti Jr. and his sister, Victoria, have not yet been cast.
James Toback has been hired to revise the original screenplay.
The independently-financed project will be produced by Marc Fiore, and Marty Ingels will serve as an executive producer. Gotti Jr. has given his “blessing,” according to THR.
