Dreamworks has announced that Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tommy Lee Jones have signed on to the cast of Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln.
Gordon-Levitt will play Robert Todd Lincoln, brother to Abraham Lincoln, and Jones will portray Thaddeus Stevens, the Republican leader who pushed for the Civil War.
Also joining the cast are John Hawkes, Hal Holbrook, Bruce McGill, James Spader, Tim Blake Nelson and Joseph Cross.
The role of John Wilkes Booth has yet to be filled, but as previously reported Daniel Day-Lewis will play the lead, and Sally Field will portray his manic-depressive wife Mary Todd.
