Los Angeles-based musician Jason Drake, a.k.a. Cassettes Won’t Listen, recently received a cease-and-desist order from Kevin Spacey.
Drake originally titled his new album Kevinspacey and pressed “several thousand copies” according to TheWrap. However, Spacey’s named is trademarked in both film and music.
To avoid further legal action, Drake renamed the album Evinspacey. It comes out June 21 on Daylight Curfew.
Drake was also given a cease-and-desist from the RIAA in 2008 after he released an unauthorized mashup of Guns N’ Roses and Ludacris called “Ludacris Democracy,” which was removed from the web.
