Phoenix Singer Thomas Mars and Sofia Coppola Announce Summer Wedding

Phoenix singer Thomas Mars and actress/producer/director/screenwriter Sofia Coppola announced earlier today that the two have scheduled an “intimate family wedding” in August at Palazzo Margherita, the Coppola family villa in Bernalda, Italy.

The couple, who have two children ages 1 and 4, met while collaborating on the soundtrack for Coppola’s film, The Virgin Suicides.

Currently, Mars and his bandmates from Phoenix are working on the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2009’s crossover success Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix.
