Acclaimed 3D fighter Tekken will see its next release not on a console, but rather on the silver screen.
Namco Bandai has announced that an animated Tekken movie is coming to Japanese theaters, entitled Tekken: Blood Vengeance. The awesome part? The screenplay is penned by Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and, wait for it, Cowboy Bebop writer Dai Saito. On top of that, the CGI looks crisp and exciting, being produced by Resident Evil: Degeneration studio Digital Frontier.
The movie is set for Japanese theaters this summer. No word yet if it will see a release stateside, but we imagine it will see light on DVD at the least. Check out the trailer below:
