Tori Amos is set to release her new, classical-inspired album, Night Hunters, in September, followed by a string of U.K. tour dates in November.
“It’s a 21st century song cycle inspired by classical music themes spanning over 400 years,” Amos said of the forthcoming album on her website.
“The protagonist is a woman who finds herself in the dying embers of a relationship," she explained. "In the course of one night she goes through an initiation of sorts that leads her to reinvent herself allowing the listener to follow her on a journey to explore complex musical and emotional subject matter. One of the main themes explored on this album is the hunter and the hunted and how both exist within us.”
So far, announced tour dates only extend to Europe, but the album will be supported by a U.S. tour as well.
Night Hunters will be released Sept. 28 from classical music label Deutsche Grammophon.

I'm loving the "classical" description! I hope it sounds like Boys For Pele, as she used some instruments there that weren't really used on any of the other albums.
