Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg Reuniting for Turkey Bowl

After the success of the buddy-cop movie The Other Guys, Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell are reuniting for another comedy, Turkey Bowl.

Warner Bros. bought the pitch for Turkey Bowl, which revolves around two rivals from different towns that compete in an annual tackle football game, and got Wahlberg and Ferrell to star.

Deadline was told “they plan to pack it with fun cameos, just the way they did during the rival broadcaster gang fights in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.” Alec Baldwin is already slated to play Wahlberg’s father.

30 Rock’s Robert Carlock and Scott Silveri will handle the script, and the story will be written by Owen Burke.

Will Ferrell, Adam McKay (director of The Other Guys) and Chris Henchy will produce through Gary Sanchez Productions, and Wahlberg will produce through his Closet to the Hole company.
